As a transactional attorney,
Steve has represented artists, booking agencies, writers,
managers, and record companies, in a variety of areas, including
the negotiation of recording, distribution, publishing, administration,
domestic and foreign licensing, synchronization and production
agreements with such major recording and publishing labels
as Warner Bros., Blue Note, Sony, Epic, PolyGram, Virgin,
EMI, RCA, Arista, Elektra, Atlantic; as well as negotiating
personal appearance contracts, personal management contracts,
theatrical and book publishing contracts.
Since 2003, Steve has served as
general counsel to the Good Home Co. which sells over $4M
per year of its wholesome and uniquely scented products such
as laundry sheets, laundry beads and hand soap in over 1,000
stores nationwide. This dynamic company was founded in 1995
by Christine Dimmick (who is also personally managed by Steve).
Experienced before all courts
in New York and having handled numerous Intellectual Property,
Federal Copyright Act, Trademark and Lanham Act litigations,
Steve has recently obtained successful results in litigation
matters against companies such as TVT Records, Restoration
Hardware, Marvel Entertainment, and Anheuser-Busch.
